Elegie del mare è una serie di paesaggi marini della Sicilia sud orientale, dove la linea dell’orizzonte custodisce memorie antiche. Le coste, scolpite dal vento e dalla salsedine, sembrano ascoltare ancora il passaggio di popoli arcaici e di naviganti primordiali, approdati qui seguendo le stelle e le correnti. Il mare diventa luogo di elegia e di racconto, spazio sospeso in cui il tempo si stratifica, e ogni immagine si offre come un canto sommesso, dedicato alla persistenza della storia e al dialogo silenzioso tra acqua, terra e memoria.
Elegies of the Sea
Elegies of the Sea is a series of seascapes from south-eastern Sicily, where the horizon line holds ancient memories. The coasts, sculpted by wind and salt, still seem to listen to the passage of ancient peoples and primordial sailors who landed here following the stars and currents. The sea becomes a place of elegy and storytelling, a suspended space where time is layered, and each image offers itself as a soft song, dedicated to the persistence of history and the silent dialogue between water, earth and memory.
